History & Hospitality: Roosevelts

At A43 Architecture, we relish projects that weave together history and hospitality. So, when the opportunity arose to design a restaurant themed around President Theodore Roosevelt's adventures in Yellowstone, we were chomping at the bit (pun intended).

The owners envisioned a space that captured the essence of Roosevelt's time in the American West, particularly his pivotal role in establishing Yellowstone National Park. Our challenge? Transforming the existing dining areas into a unique and immersive experience within a tight timeframe, just before tourist season kicked in.

Instead of a drastic overhaul, we adopted a strategic approach focused on color, texture, and décor. We bid farewell to the previous restaurant's material palette and brought in elements that evoked the spirit of the West. Rich, earthy tones replaced sterile whites, and rugged textures added depth and character. The décor? Think national park lodge meets adventurous spirit, creating a warm and inviting space that complements the restaurant's exciting menu.

We believe Teddy Roosevelt himself would have given our design a hearty thumbs up. After all, the atmosphere reflects the very spirit he championed – a love for exploration and a deep appreciation for the natural world. So, if you find yourself in Jackson, mosey on over to Roosevelt's and experience a taste of the Wild West, A43 Architecture style!
